Why the Age of the Universe Is Wrong
By Mike Reese

The age of the universe that modern astronomers agree on is approximately 13 billion years.  Before I go into the detail of the algorithm used to find the age of the universe it would be best to clear up the assumptions that are made by the astronomers and held as truths.

#1.  We are not at the center of the universe.
#2.  We are not at the center of our galaxy.
#3.  Our galaxy is not at the center of the universe.
#4.  The beginning of the universe occurred because “nothing” collapsed and
       exploded, creating everything.

With those assumptions in mind I will proceed on my quest to divulge the truth that is being withheld.  This is extremely technical and I’ve tried to make it as simple as possible, so just hang in there (there will not be a test on this essay).  So without further ado, the way the astronomers determine the age of the universe is by collecting data from galaxies.  They collect the spectra (visible light wavelengths) of galaxies and the apparent and absolute magnitudes of that galaxy.

From the apparent (mv) and absolute (Mv) magnitudes of the galaxy, scientists can find the distance of the galaxy from Earth using the formula:

d = 10^ [(mv – Mv + 5)/5]

From the spectra, the astronomers can determine the redshift (elongation of wavelength) of certain elemental lines, first by determining the difference between the original elemental line (lrest) and the elemental line found from the data (l).  The formula is:

 l-lrest

With this piece of information they can calculate the redshift of the wavelength with the formula:

Dl/lrest

Using the red shift, the speed of light (c) and the modified Doppler formula:

V = (Dl/lrest)/c;

astronomers can find the velocity of the galaxy.

At this point, most astronomers determine more velocities of more galaxies and plot them on a graph. The slope of the line formed on the graph is the Hubble constant (H).  Using Hubble’s law:

Vr = Hd,

they can find the recessional velocity of the galaxy.   With the information they know so far, they can tell how fast the galaxy is moving away from us and they can tell the distance to that galaxy.  Finally, to find the age of the universe one must use the formula:

(1/H) x 1012 years

The value they get is approximately 13 billion years.

If you’ve kept up with me so far you are doing great, it only gets easier from here.  All that is left to do is to debunk this whole process with a few simple observations:

#1. The apparent magnitude is how bright the astronomers assume the galaxy to be.  Meaning… they guessed.  The foundation of all their data is a shot in the dark!

#2.  The distance to the nearest galaxy is still an unimaginable distance that no  one will be able to verify for an extremely long amount of time.

#3.  How do you measure the speed of light?  Everyone says it’s the amount of  time it takes you to flip the light switch on and the light to come on.  But  that’s the speed of electricity through a certain medium, not the speed of  light.  You can calculate the distance from Earth to the Sun and calculate how  long it takes a photon to leave the Sun’s atmosphere and reach Earth.  Oh,  wait, no you can’t, it’s impossible.

#4.  Astronomers contradict their own assumption when using the Doppler  formula science-wide assumption with the Doppler formula.  They assume that we ARE NOT the center of the universe, yet they use the Doppler formula, which uses the assumption that we ARE the center of the universe, in order to determine the age of the universe.

#5.  Hubble’s law is not a law.  It’s a hypothesis.  It cannot be tested and has never been proven.  Meaning it is not SCIENTIFIC TRUTH (wow!  There’s  an oxymoron for you!) .

As you can see, the astronomers have a hard time with defining words such as "truth”, “fact”, “science” and even “center.”  The one thing I can tell you for a fact is that God created the universe -- whether it was 15 billion years ago, or 6005.  It was not when “nothing” collapsed and exploded and created everything. As I said before, there will not be any test on this so just sit back and forget everything in this article except that it is not likely that the universe is 13,000,000,000 years old and astronomers are only guessing.
