Why do we 'fill up space'?
Filling up Space was established in 2000 under the name "Filling up Space for Christ."  Even the though the name changed with the site's redesign in July 2003, the mission remains the same: to encourage Biblical thinking and living in a world that has lost sight of its Creator.  To accomplish this, the FuS site is divided into five subsections that seek to engage both the intellectual and spiritual aspects of life.

The Web is the broad category, dispersed throughout the site, that contains resources from the Internet to further aid in the pursuit of truth.  The section includes primarily links to other Web sites, which provide additional information to supplement FuS material, outlets for obtaining other study tools, and other areas of the Web that could be relevant to FuS readers.

The Worldis, in some ways, the flagship of the Filling up Space universe.  Housed in this section are articles pertaining to current events and issues of interest to the Christian community and the world as a whole.  Also in the World is the FuS editorial, entitled "Year of Our Lord."

The Walkoffers encouragement and challenges on how best to serve God within that world.  These articles deal with topics affecting a believer's day-by-day journey of faith, which include issues such as maintaining relationships (marriage, family, dating, etc.), witnessing for Christ, and living a life that glorifies God.

The Wayprovides discussion on some of the more basic tenets of Christianity, important for keeping that walk with God strong -- or maybe for just beginning it.  Articles in this section are more theologically based, dealing with issues such as God's presence and salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Wordis devoted to closer looks at the Holy Scripture, which we believe to be the infallible and inspired Word of God.  This section contains commentary and interpretation of certain passages of Scripture, as well as the Bible as a whole, and how they should be applied.

Disclaimer

Acts 17:11).  Differing points of view are always welcome in the form of letters to the editor.
